When a visitor is headed to your blog or a custom landing page, the first factor that can arrest his eyeball is your headline copy. It is the crux, the defining parameter that can make or mar his digital footprint on your site or a conversion goal. It is not an easy task though, yet you can still bridge the gap towards writing effective headlines if you can follow these basic building blocks to crafting that elusive stunner.

Keep it Simple

Start Simple. Stress the benefit that your article promises to deliver. More the benefits, better the appeal to the reader.

Make it Specific

Specific promises defines reader benefit. As in “10 Secrets to Acne Prevention”. But make sure you deliver your promise.

Ask Questions, Provide Answers

You can get real ideas if you can delve deep into the “why”, “what”, “how”, “when”, “where” and “when” of your article you plan to compose.

Rev up the emotional quotient

Readers always respond to the human element. Showcase expertise, exhibit empathy, use the first person “you” .

Get Keyword Saavy

Keywords do matter. Simply because it speaks the language of the searcher who landed on your page searching for that term. Do your keyword research.

Never Stop Learning

Even the top copy gurus dont nail a headline each and every time without effort. Practice, Passion and being a student of life always helps.

And most of all, love what you are doing.
