The North American continent might go gaga over Google, but in Asia, it is Yahoo that has stolen a march as a favourite with web users. A comscore survey this May in 10 asian countries has seen Google panting hard playing catch up with its perennial search rivals.
Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan have given the thumbs up to Yahoo while Australia, China, and New Zealand users prefer Microsoft to the much vaunted Google. The survey results would imply that the search stakes would just not a one horse race especially when Internet penetration in the most populous countries like India and China hits an upward trend.
